remember that huge project i was talking about a while back? well, it was my art history project. we had to choose an artist (any artist, it didn't have to be historical or w/e) and do a research on him/her. then, we had to put together a bio and/or timeline of the artist. we had to comment on the artists style, and do an evaluation of one of their works. we also had to do several (minimum of three) thumbnail sketches of the artist's works and a reproduction of one of their works. and we had to do an 'art in style of the artist' piece (recreation i believe?). finally, we had to put it all together on a display board.
my artist was Robert Bateman (naturally, i chose an animal artist!!!). the lynx portrait i posted some time before was my art in style. this is my reproduction piece of his painting "Arctic Evening - White Wolf". i'll be posting the thumbnails soon, i just have to scan them.
