Hello, my name is Volchonok and welcome to my little corner of dA. i am 13 years old, green eyes, short hair, and i wear glasses. i was born in the year of the Dog and my zodiac sign is Scorpio. i was born in Russia and moved to Canada when i was 4, and i speak two languages, Russian and English so you may talk to me in any one that suits you best.
i've been drawing basically ever since i learned to hold a pencil and i have always loved to draw animals. i learned to draw, starting with my mom's patient teaching and then i moved on to using the "Draw 50" books by Lee J. Ames. then i started developing my own skills but i am still using the basics that i've been taught all those years back. i currently draw a lot of canines (you'll see my gallery overflowing with them) but i've been thinking of hopping onto a bandwagon of drawing 100 animals (i've seen a lot of ppl doing this, why not join?). well, enough about me, let's move on to more important things.

i'm sorry guys, but it may take me quite a while to reply to all your comments and check thru all my messages and deviations; i haven't had internet for a couple of days and i just got it fixed now. once again, i apologize in advance for taking ages to reply to all your wonderful comments and see your fantabulous art!

i am leaving dA. that's right you heard me, i srsly am. i'm just getting bored with it. it's always the same routine every day: turn on comp, check messages/deviations, answer all the 'thankyou' comments, comment some really lame comments on some deviations, go to school... return from school, check messages/deviations, answer all the "thankyou"s, and etc.etc...

i am leaving to go to russia tomorrow! it's a 9hr10min flight by plane to moscow and then a 2night1day ride on a train. i'll be gone pretty much till the end of august. this time, i'll not forget to bring my sketchbooks, i'll betcha i'll have a ton to post! so see ya guys in august!!! oh, and btw, grad was great, it was worth delaying our vacation for. i was nominated for 9 of the awards and won 2 of them: math and science. and the dance was awesome. and everyone looked so gorgeous! -and i still can't change my mood icon!!!-

OMG, today is my dA anniversary! it's been a year since i first joined dA . i can't belive what i've achieved in my first year on dA. to this date, i have drawn 235 deviations, and i have 3323 pageviews, 38 watchers and 395 ppl i watch, and a grand total of 227 favs with my most faved deviation being my "Mates" pic.. i'm gonna try and make a quick piccy tomorrow marking this memorable date. sorry, i wasn't posting much art lately, celebrating, busy with homework, my sister taking over the computer and yaddah-yaddah-yaddah, you get what i mean!
