this is a journal where i'll be featuring awesome DEVartists. i'll write a short little blurb about each one and pick five of their deviations that i think are the best. i'll be updating this little thing about every week or so. please take out some of your time to check out their great galleries and comment on their amazing work.

okay, seriously, if you don't know *khaosdog, you are not up to date with one of the most popular canine artists on dA. she is definitely one of the best artists you'll ever meet. Khaosdog is extremely talented in both digital and traditional media. besides drawing awesome canines, Khaos draws a variety of other subjects too, such as felines and equines. she has a really unique style in her drawing. i'm not sure quite what it is, maybe it's the way that she draws her subjects or the way she paints her skies but once you see her art, you'll see what i mean. however, enough of me blabbering, i bet you're drooling to see some of her art!!!

~redwolf24 is another outstanding DEVartist and a really great friend of mine. she uses mostly traditional media but she does have an odd digital piece here and there. she draws mainly canines, and some humans. REdwolf is currently working on an uberly amazing definitely-gets-you-hooked-from-the-first-page comic called "Heart of a Borzoi". also, recently, she has started working on a sci-fi novel called "Reece Creatus" which is also pretty captivating and awesome. she also has a stock account at , you should look at that too. you should totally check out her gallery, starting with the five fav deviations of mine:

after featuring so many canine artists, i think it's time to do a feline artist for a change. so i chose ~Tigerty. as her username suggests, she likes drawing tigers and other felines. Tigerty uses mainly digital media, but she has quite a bit of traditional pieces and photos too. her style is mostly semi-realism and cartoon. speaking of cartoon, she has a really awesome 8-page comic she made, i believe for a school assignment, i'll include the first page in my five fav pieces. so yeah, you should totally check out her fantabulous art!!!

another non-canine artist feature, this time a fantasy artist. *Nambroth is a very talented artist in every media, from digital to traditional to even feather painting! recently, she's also been making beautiful jewelery too. she has a wonderful semi-realistic style. her subjects are mostly fantasy creatures, like dragons, gryphons and other magical beings. Nambroth is a totally must-see, must-fav (with a comment of course!) artist and i recommend her to everyone. her works are very inspiring. now for da five favs (which were REALLY hard to pick):

it's been a long time since i've updated this! this week's featured artist is *Yellow-eyes, aka Zakka. for her pieces, she uses mostly Photoshop (like me!) except she's way better. Zakka draws mostly anthro, werewolves and other canines and she draws them really well. she has this awesome realistic style that makes her pictures look really... well, real! when you look at her pics, you can just see the grass blowing in the breeze and feel the wind rustling your hair. she also has a few tutorials too, one as i remember on eyes and a few more, really useful ones. Zakka is a totally amazing artist and if you like how she sounds so far, you should definitely check out my 5 fav pics from her gallery. it was a difficult choice, as she has many amazing pieces:

=Lyanti is definitely one of the greatest artists out here. her chief medium is traditional but she does have a few digital pieces too. her art is equally amazing in both mediums. Lyanti draws very good wolves, both anthro and normal. she also draws a variety of other animals and even people. Lyanti has her own fan club too, . i like the way Lyanti draws her fur, she puts so much love and care into it. she also has a unique style to her pictures. perhaps it's the semi-realistic way she does it, i don't know but i'd be able to recognize her art out of tons of other pieces. check out my top five favorites from her gallery:

*last-trace is definitely an artist that deserves more attention. if you like animal art (like me) check out her amazing gallery and add her to your friends list, cuz she is awesome at drawing animals. she uses mostly traditional media but has recently been experimenting with photoshop. Last-trace is very talented in both mediums. she actually did a digital request for me when i caught her kiriban, and for a first-timer, it was awesome! really, you should see the art for yourself, and start with my 5 fav deviations from her gallery:

I'm sure many of you know *Myenia already. if not, you should definitely check out her art. she is an anthro artist and has this wonderful realistic/semi-realistic style in her drawings. Myenia is especially talented at drawing werewolves. i believe she even has some useful tutorials in her gallery too. all her art (or all that i know of) is done in digital media. it was difficult to pick my fav 5 deviations from her gallery, they're all so amazing! check 'em out here:
